1. Eligibility for Car Rental Refunds
Refunds for car rental bookings may be approved under the following conditions:
- Eligible Cancellations: Reservations canceled within the allowed cancellation window (as specified at the time of booking) may qualify for a full or partial refund, subject to the rental supplier’s policy.
- Supplier-Canceled Rentals: If the car rental provider cancels your reservation due to vehicle unavailability or operational issues, a full refund of the rental amount will be issued.
- Duplicate Charges: Any verified duplicate or erroneous payments will be refunded promptly.
- Security Deposits: Refundable security deposits collected at pick-up are released after the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition, minus any applicable deductions.
2. Non-Refundable Charges
The following car rental-related charges are generally non-refundable:
- Service or booking fees retained by EasyMyTrips LTD .
- No-show rentals where the vehicle is not collected at the scheduled pick-up time.
- Unused rental days resulting from early vehicle return.
- Optional extras already activated or used, such as GPS units or child seats.
3. Refund Processing Time
Approved car rental refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days from confirmation. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the refunded amount may take 10–15 business days to appear on your statement.
4. Method of Refund
- Credit or Debit Cards: Refunded to the original card used at booking.
- Bank Transfers: Returned to the original bank account provided.
- Digital Payments: Credited back to the same digital wallet, where applicable.
5. Situations Where Refunds Are Not Issued
Refunds will not be provided in the following circumstances:
- Failure to arrive for pick-up without prior notice.
- Inability to present a valid driver’s license or required identification.
- Additional charges for fuel, tolls, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
- Violations of rental terms resulting in supplier-imposed penalties.
6. Partial Refunds
In some cases, partial refunds may apply for unused portions of a car rental, after deducting non-refundable service fees and supplier charges. All partial refunds are subject to supplier approval.
